Connecticut Construction Industries Association members have full-time representation at the state Capitol. Thousands of bills are introduced each legislative session and all are reviewed for their potential impact on the construction industry and CCIA divisions.
- CCIA presents legislation to the General Assembly and lobbies positions on bills approved by the Legislative Committee that would benefit CCIA's members across all nine divisions. CCIA also opposes bills that would adversely affect the construction industry.
- CCIA staff testify before legislative committees and work with lawmakers to shape legislation.
- CCIA sends legislative alerts to members to notify them of important bills affecting the industry and requesting grass roots support.
- CCIA staff facilitate the participation of members in the legislative process through meetings, public hearings, events and other opportunities.
