CAAPA represents producers, contractors and suppliers of hot plant-mixed asphalt pavements in the state. CAAPA supports its members’ interests on environmental issues and works to improve the quality of plant-mixed asphalt pavements and paving techniques used in the construction of roads, streets, highways, parking lots, airports, and environmental and recreational facilities. CAAPA is an advocate for its members’ interests at the state and federal levels.
THE ASPHALT PAVEMENT AWARDS for the 2023 paving season were presented at the CAAPA Asphalt Pavement Conference on Fri., Apr. 19, 2024, in the Wagon Room at the Aqua Turf Club. Ten projects were selected out of 36 nominations, and 44 awards were presented at the breakfast. Congratulations to the project winners listed in the event program.
In addition, special guest speaker, Dr. Vince Hafeli, president of Ajax Paving Industries, shared his personal journey and statics on suicide in construction. He gave attendees tips on how to recognize warning signs and how to implement programs in your company.
